Can we start a handgun and long gun picture threads?

Post by If1Hitu » Tue Jul 24, 2018 12:55 pm

Who would like to see picture threads of handguns and long guns other than I?

Everybody likes pictures...maybe a simple "PICS" sticky at the top of each "other firearms" subforum.

Pic threads are always fun, Stickies are a must and so is some sort of organization. I second the motion, but it's up to the Mods/Bosses/Owners!

Very cool idea for the Henry Forum. I often look through two picture "stickys" on Blade Forums, plus a weekly member's post, all designed just to display (show off) the knife nuts' knives. Lots of great photos posted there.

The Buck Forum has the sticky titled "Official Buck Picture Thread." Here are its stats:
~~created 1/11/07
~~replies = 1698
~~views = 530,322

The Multi-Tools Forum has the sticky titled "Let's see some pictures!"
~~created 5/13/08
~~replies = 2316
~~views = 588,504
That's quite a number of views over the years!! :)

The other BF picture thread is posted early every Sunday morning by one member who calls it the "The Sunday Picture Show" (SPS). It has gained the nickname of "The Greatest Show on Earth." I have seen some pretty fantastic knife photos and interesting commentaries about specific knife models, huge knife collections, special editions, knife history, and so on. This one show has been a "knife education" in and of itself for me. When PB was working back when, I even did some posting there myself. It was fun and very entertaining.

I liked Roddy's comment and suggestion, too:

So being the wordy character I am, a simple "yes" in support of If1Hitu's suggestion wasn't enough. I have to yap as above. ;)
Let's go for it, if our Admins/Mods are willing to set it up for us.

I'd be ok with it, but a lot of folks don't like to advertise their collection for various reasons.

That shouldn't be a concern on this forum. Everyone here is anonymous (unless they choose not to be). Even the admins don't know the actual identity of our members. Some say they have hundreds of firearms, some say they have one; but no one really knows. I currently have seven, eight if you count my pellet gun.

a picture of our 44 Mags ===> Henry BBS and Ruger Redhawk .... the Henry is relatively new but has traveled widely and fired thousands of rounds .... the Redhawk has been around for decades, has traveled widely, and has fired 10's of thousands of rounds while taking deer, black bear, and boar

Who have you met that you don't trust and why? Americans like those who work for the NSA, CIA, FBI, or criminal hackers?
