Hello

Post by Troutfly6971 » Thu Sep 06, 2018 5:32 pm

Hello all.
I just ordered my new Henry, so I'm a total novice to the brand. I am not a novice to firearms. I own several, have built several, and do gunsmithing as a hobby for family and friends. I spend my non working hours in the field or on the stream. I ordered the big boy steel carbine in 44 mag with the 16.5" octogon barrel with a color case hardened finish.

Buying a Henry was a very good choice. I'm sure you'll love it. Welcome from the TV Oregon.

Welcome to the forum from KC! You'll have a great time here, and it sounds like you'll have a lot of wisdom to pass along.

That's Henry's most popular caliber and one of the hottest new finishes they make. Look forward to pics and range reports. We like both around here.

Congrats and welcome again!

Thanks for all the responses. My banker (wife) forced a hostile takeover of my gun buying account. On account of she thinks I have too many guns. I think not. I had to settle for lay a way to stretch things out a little. It's still coming but now I've got 60 days of resentment building up. Lol. As soon as it gets here I'll post pics.

_WELCOME!_.jpg
Trout,
I was out-of-town when you joined, so this is a belated greeting from the Show-Me-State!
I also have a BBS Carbine, but in .357 Magnum. I'm certain you'll very quickly lose any "novice" status with Henrys once you start spending time on the range with your .44! :) Enjoy.
