A friends wife in San Antonio is in a women's league at their local gun club. They meet on Tuesday night for shooting and fellowship. Neat thing-she really enjoys it.

Re: Ladies club....
Abnermal, I love the the fellowship part. Our group can be really inconsistent. So there's no chance for me to share the gospel, everyone is making sure we aren't getting shot by the newbies.

My wife regularly goes to the Ladies Night at our local club. She doesn't allow me to go along.

Re: Ladies club....
Now for the bad news, my rifle is worse now than before the repairs were made. At some points the lever would seize up for up to a minute at a time, so now it goes back.
Just have to see what's gonna happen, the people at Henry are not happy to hear that a brand new rifle has to go back for repairs for the 3rd time within a year of ownership.

Re: Ladies club....
Sorry about your situation. Seems to me, the people at Henry should be concern about You not being happy! But to seize and then unseize, it seems like a heating and cooling cycle to me. Does this happen after firing one shot?Dahliathemeh wrote:Now for the bad news, my rifle is worse now than before the repairs were made. My first Henry BBB .357 went back and forth to the factory a few times during the first year, too. Henry finally just sent me a new rifle. They'll take care of you, Dahlia. They guarantee it and make good on their promises. Hang in there.Dahliathemeh wrote:Now for the bad news, my rifle is worse now than before the repairs were made. Re: Ladies club....
@GFK: no, this was happening after 5-10 shots. Different brands of ammo with grains of 150, or 175.
At first the bolt would seize open, then release after about 30 seconds, when it came back from the factory it seized shut for up to a minute or two. Again this happened 3 times within 25 shots.
@CT my better half wants me to give up Henry entirely, I know their reputation not only from what I read here but also from what I hear from other people. So I really want to stick with them!

Dahliathemeh,
If I remember correctly, someone else had an issue with their AW. From what I recall, Henry installed a standard non-AW bolt to correct the situation. Also, I think mistered suggested using Froglube? At any rate, you have to live with whatever decision you make. So, do what is pleasing to you and be happy. Time is the one thing that cannot be replaced. Might as well have as many sunshiny days as possible.
