Long Rangers on display

Post by PT7 » Wed Aug 15, 2018 7:47 am

Just some ramblin' on the Henry Long Ranger models.

The two LGS places I visit are less than a mile apart in KCKS --- a Cabelas, and Frontier Justice where I use their indoor shooting range. Yesterday I did some target practice at FJ, and as I always do after I shoot, I window shop the rifle display case and look over their Henrys.

Was really fun to see that the number of Henry models they have is growing! Along with a BBS .357 magnum, there was a bronze Original Henry in .44-40 WCF caliber (man, what a sharp-looking rifle), a GB, and all three models of the Long Ranger --- .223 Rem, .243 Win, and .308 Win. What a beautiful collection of centerfires to stare at!! A few weeks ago there were several rimfire .22LR and a .17WMR in stock at FJ, but have all been sold. Same thing happens with the even larger collection of Henrys across the highway at the Cabelas. These rifles continue to come in and sell pretty quickly!

Even if I have a so-so day on the range, browsing the Henry display case after shooting always perks me up again! ;) I wish I could take a photo of this display case, but they don't allow any photography or videography at this LGS.

Cool-looking 8-) Henry collection.

End of drool, as others have commented about Henrys!
Have a great day!

Yes, I noticed that the LGS I frequent has more Henrys on display now as well. In fact, they are the first rifles you see when you walk in the shop. Funny, it was only one on display when I bought mine last year. It was in a back rack by hand guns. It was a 2015. So, I guess it did not get much attention. Now, about four or five different types are by the front door. A salesman told me they are selling well. Then, he started to tell me about the single shots available. I told him that I am good for now. But, time will tell.
Actions speak louder than words (Matthew 21:28-31).
