Trouble is, the rear sight is as low as it will go, which is why Henry is sending me a taller front sight.Mags wrote:_
My .30-30 was high out of the box too. Fortunately I was able to lower the rear site to the bottom position and then it was good.

My first Henry, H010B, 45-70. Beautiful rifle, shoots like a champ, kicks like a mule. Have a boar hunting trip scheduled for December, can’t wait to put this beauty to work.

Thanks Mags. I’ve been a lever fan for years and years, owning Marlins and Winchesters, including my first ever rifle I bought at 17, which is a 1911 manufactured model 94 in .30WCF which I still have. I’m loving the quality of the Henry, and I see a Color Case Hardened Big Boy in my future. Just have to decide between another .44 mag or maybe a .357?
