I love to hike, especially with my Henry and/or one of my Heritage revolvers. I usually hike the state forest or the state game lands. I don't get up to the Appalachian Trail much anymore. If you would hike the Pacific Crest Trail, you might read, or maybe you have read the book "Wild", by Cheryl Strayed, about her adventures as she hiked the entire length of the trail. One that I found hard to put down.

I've wanted to hike the PCT for nearly 40 years and may finally get my chance. I didn't read the book but I saw the movie.

Rain here for the next couple of days but we could use some. Nights are cool with a low around 43*.

Good morning all from Jonesboro, GA. A very nice 64 degrees this morning and sunny. Little to no chance of rain today, and that is a bit disappointing because we could use some rain. Be safe and take care.

Another high overcast day in Seattle with temperatures in the high 40's. I'm going to work outside most of the day.

This morning was sunny, but it is overcast now. Rain moving in tonight and staying for 2-3 days. Forecast is close to 2 inches and that is on top of the 2 inches we got the first three days of this week.

Getting a little soggy around here.

I have an all day project outside where I need a complete sunny day. I didn't have that today so just did small projects in between rain showers.

There are several good books written by people who did the Appalachian Trail. I've been wanting to do that for years. Hope I can get there before I get too old.

EDIT: Two of my favorites are "300 Zeroes," by Dennis R. Blanchard, and "Awol On The Appalachian Trail," by David Miller.

An obscure, but good movie on hiking the AT is called "Southbounders."

Tea is hot and I'm heading out the door to work in the yard. Looks like my full day of sunshine is today.

Good morning all from Jonesboro, GA. 66 degrees and humid here this morning. We had some T-Storms last night and got a fair amount of rain. A little foggy here this morning, but the fog is going to burn off and be sunny, until the next round of T-Storms come through this afternoon and evening. Take care and be safe.
