Thank you-was the best day weather wise we could have asked for. Could have used a little more help but got by all right. Hopefully it will be my turn to play tomorrow. Signed up for four divisions. Lots of shooting!Henry88 wrote:Not going but good luck if you're competing, and all the best in any case...........

I loved shooting the Glock matches.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Been shooting GSSF matches for over 25 years. Been to matches from Richmond to Vegas and several polnts between. Always just compete with myself as I have a goal I'd like to achieve before I hang it up. Do enjoy finishing ahead of my buddy though-just to hear him complain!BrokenolMarine wrote:I loved shooting the Glock matches.

I shot the Richmond area matches, and a few others. As I understand it, a church was built near the range where they used to hold the Richmond area matches, and once they got established, started whining about the matches, even after the director agreed to delay Sunday start times in respect for Sunday services. I traveled to a few other matches, but it became too much.
I really enjoyed the match formats, talking with all the other shooters, and the shooting. I usually went with a group of friends, and we made a day of it. Always a good time.
