Father's Day

Post by Shakey Jake » Sun Jun 17, 2018 4:03 pm

First of all, happy father's day out there to everyone. I went to the range this morning knowing we were supposed to get a lot of rain today and tomorrow. It gets really sloppy out there after a rain and unless you're wearing waders you'll get muddy. I took out the Marlin 783 .22 WMR. It always shoots well. I was shooting Fiocchi 40 gr TMJ rated at 1900 FPS at 100 yards. I shot 44 rounds. I then proceeded to shoot my P229 .22 LR at the steel targets. Nice outing.

Thanks for the greetings on Dad's Day.
It was nice to be treated to dinner today by two of my daughters at my favorite restaurant. Then for a refreshing treat after lunch on this very, very hot summer afternoon, back at my place we had slices of DQ ice cream cake. One daughter got that for me to celebrate me, and it really hit the spot! :D

No range time, but that's okay. Always another day.
BTW, good POIs on your target, Jake. Glad you had a nice outing.

Looks like you had a great day. No doubt you could put dinner on the table with the Marlin.
