85° here at (almost) 11:00 am with 80% humidity. I'm on second round of coffee. We're definitely in summertime mode. We have four seasons in this part of Texas: Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer, and Christmas.

Last day of the high temp/high humidity reprieve. Predicted to reach upper 70s today, then tomorrow near 90* again.
The next 8 days are to be in low to mid-90s. Like MacArthur, summer heat "shall return."

Good morning! I always enjoy your pictures. Looking forward to it. Now, at 8:00 a.m. it's 79° with 90% humidity. We haven't seen any rain for almost two weeks and then it was under .5". Going to the TrueValue to pick up a couple of sprinklers. Hope the cattle drive goes well.

Dry on this side of the planet, most of southern Australia is in drought, here at home our average rainfall is 36" so far this year we have received less than 8" most of that in small falls of less than 1/2".
Farm has had a little more rain but it is 50" average and only running a few inches better for the yearly total.
We have sold all the cattle apart form the breeders, everything left has been preg tested in calf.
At least winter is still to really hit, night temps have only dipped below freezing a few times and days have been a lot warmer than normal getting to around 60 most days.
As I sit here having my second coffee for the morning waiting for the sun to rise it is in the high 30's with a top predicted around 60 again today.

Sixty three right now, looking at a high of seventy eight. Miss T was able to cut the grass yesterday. She was afraid if she didn't, the next chance she got, we would have to bale it. :D

Coffee is brewing, and the half liter stoneware mugs are standing by.

What disparate weather throughout our country, as well as the extremes we experience.

The rain and cold weather some folk are having is appealing to me. My region continues to struggle under drought-like conditions, and high temps and high humidity. At the moment, the dew point is 67%, and coupled with actual temp of 96*, 'tis definitely nothing like a cool fall season outside! Over the weekend our heat index is predicted to reach or surpass 100*.

Ah, "the good 'ole summertime!" ;)
