But it was very fun to make the attempt!!
I went out to my patio to look over my potted plants this afternoon. I have one pot of Vinca flowers sitting on my small distressed wood bench. The top of the back wood pickets of this bench measure 3.5" wide X 3/4" deep. I was most surprised to see some visitors on the bench! (The first photo is of my flowers and bench, which I posted in an earlier thread. In the second photo, you will see my visitors).

To my great chagrin once again, the photo of my visitors is blurry. But at least I captured the 3 Nymphs (baby praying mantis) staring up at me from the wood picket!! 
You should have seen their eyes follow me around as I tried to get them to gather around for the photo shoot. There were 4 Nymphs today, but I only managed to rope three of them together! 
BTW, I'm guessing the size of these tiny visitors was 1/8" ------tiny, tiny, tiny was each one. Almost needed my Skinner Express peep to sight in on them.3 Nymphs on a wood picket Like I said, a very fun patio outing!
