This is our country's day to honor our military heroes that have served and are still serving in our military to keep us free and safe. We have a great military in the USA and they deserve to be honored every day of the year. I believe it started after the Civil War as a day for everybody to get together and decorate the flags at Arlington, and eventually became Memorial Day.
