Got me a Henry 22 golden boy today
Got tired of 20 year old Ruger 10-22 loading in that crappy magazine and traded in for a Henry lever today. Cleaned the packing grease out and punched some nice holes in back property and she levers and shoots like a dream. Going to find me a Ruger a Single six to go with it. Other than Tikkas I'm loading up on Henry's. One more to go in a 357 when I find a decent deal.

Sounds like you struck "gold" today, 2guns.....Congrats on that new Henry Golden Boy!
And I liked your choice to keep on "loading up on Henrys." That .357 will be a great rifle to have, too.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

Re: Got me a Henry 22 golden boy today
Congratulations on that new GB! My Golden Boy is my first and only Henry.... so far. I love that rifle and just came inside from shooting it. It doesn't seem to matter what I put in it, Mini Mags, standard velocity LR or shorts it's very accurate with em all. I was shooting dandelion bloom with shorts in the back yard. My pushing 60 eyes are the weak point but I don't want to scope mine until I have to.

Congrats on you’re new rifle. It’s a great gun. Smooth, accurate, and pretty. Holds a rediculous amount of shorts!

It does hold a lot. I think I got around 16 long rifles in it yesterday. I was having a hard time with some ammo brands in the 10-22 not seating correct. This is one I won’t complain about a drop tube on. Every zhenry I reviews before buying most reviews griped about the tune verses a loading gate. Come on now. Marlins loading gates are tight and don’t loosen over time. I can lever and single feed the big boys quicker. Ubert is only rifle I know with butter smooth loading gate but I’m not partial to the toggle action. Came close to buying a 357 in one and everything I read showed a steady diet of 357 would eventually damage the rifle and advised to stick with 38s. Why bother.

You can read and believe what you want about the toggle link actions. But Im betting you would never wear one out. I have one and love it. The metals that are available today are better than they were in 1873.

If I had thought it would I would have bought it in a minute. Just didn't want to pay $1200 for one to shoot 38 powered loads. This one is 25 years old and has a folding tang on the stock. I sure did like it. Balances out nice too. I don't know anything about Ubertis so I could only go by the posts I read.
