Wasn't as good as I expected but hoping reloads tighten it up. Sure is fun to shoot.

5 shot was 25 yards and 3 shot was at 50 yards. Now if I could see those at 100 yards. Can a little with red dot but bullet was going over the target.

Only bullets I could find today was some 240 xtp. Trying to decide between Unique and HS6 for powder. Not what I'm going to hunt with but want to do some shooting.

X2 on JEBar's target assessment...look good to me also. Especially the 25-yard group. Don't often see a silhouette like that one!

I think these give you a good base for comparison of future range visits. Should be more fun ahead.
Enjoy.

when a rifle delivers groups like that, you have something to work with .... fine tuning it will be run and can most certainly produce good results

I really like the rifle. The targets came from Amazon. Head, chest, heart and 2 sight in circles at top of each target. I use with my AR. Though the bulls eyes might be big enough to see at some distance with a red dot sight. Now to find powder and bullets. I e got several pistol powders but not sure what to use. I picked up some 240 xtps at Acadamy today and loaded some with Unique and HS6. Still got H110. HP38 and Titegroup. Going to grab some 2400 and AA9. I am hoping to fing a good cast gas check or possibly Nosler sporting bullet for hunting.

H110 works well for us .... we have found we can use it interchangeably with W296 .... examinations of deer, bear, and bore taken with 23.8 grains of those powders pushing 240 gr Nosler JHP's have proven that load to be highly effective

Actually that's pretty good shooting. I was a great shot when I had those young eyes, right now I'd be pleased as punch with those results. Nice work!

I understand the eyesight. Mine gets weaker every day. Started seeing mirages after 50 yards but the youngsters there said there wasn't any.

I've had good results with 24.0 grs. of H110 and W296. 1", 5 shot groups at 54 yds. with scope off a bench/bags.

as noted above, we use 23.8 grs of H110 or W296 .... haven't tried 24 grs but my bet would be I doubt I could tell any difference
