The favorite to win and he did win.

Wonder when the last time was that someone won 4 in a row?

Thanks for that info.

Ten in a row? Good 'ol Richard Petty.

I see that he won a total of 27 races that year.

Not a big Harvick fan at all, but still pretty impressive in todays Nascar.

Wonder if it has anything to do with his lack of performance lately.

To me Lowes leaving Jimmie would be like STP leaving Richard Petty years ago.

Here is the link from Nascar on it:

Speaking of Richard Petty and STP, here is an interesting link on it.

I especially like this part of the story, lol:

"It all sounded good to The King. Then the issue of the paint scheme came up.

“We talked to Granatelli and everything was chugging along. We agreed on a contract and as we got up to leave he said, ‘By the way, the car will be Day-Glo Red,’ which is STP colors. I said, ‘No way. The car’s got to be Petty Blue.’ I got up to leave. That’s how stubborn I was. And he was pretty stubborn, too.” Petty grinned as he recalled the moment."

I watched some of the Phoenix race while working out last Sunday. I really don't see how they can keep some of these races going at all. There wasn't hardly any fans at the race. Im thinking that has to have an effect on some of these race sponsors as if there isn't any fans there they aren't going to be seeing which company is supporting who. Not to mention people seeing there advertising in general. Just my take on it. Al

I know that Nascar has put more focus on their TV Audience in the later years. Years ago, it was fan attendance and TV was "extra". I believe it is becoming more and more of the other way around.

That said, Phoenix is making some improvements at the track, including seating.

Joey Logano put a whooooping on the field in today's Xfinity Series win at Auto Club Speedway in California .... it was a 150 lap race and he was out front on 139 of them

Yeah, nice strong win for Truex today.

I believe Harvick done himself in, tangling with Larson.

Harvick has always been a little out spoken, but has always owned up to his mistakes.

I guess I’m getting old, but I can remember Ricky Rudd’s comment on Harvick “Don’t really know what he said, he’s always got that yap yap mouth going”

Cabelas had or may have $1.00 shipping promoting Truex win.
No minimum Truexwins code.
