New Henry - "Long Rifle"
New Henry - "Long Rifle"
Hey, Everyone,
I think that on version one of this forum, someone talked about the AR (American Rifleman) article on the new Henry rifle slotted to come out this year. Here's the short article and picture of the rifle. PT7

Looks a bit like the Browning BLR, should be a good rifle & the .308 is a proven big game ctg. But then so is the .45-70 & .243.

Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
agree on looking like a BLR .... very attractive indeed
Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
I don't think that the new rifle is on the HRA web sight yet. It will be interesting to read the specs on it.

Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
Not a big fan of "tactical" rifles, so just not into the AR style guns.
I have been thinking about a Ruger American Ranch bolt action in .223/5.56.
After seeing this, I may have to revise that desire!

I wonder when this rifle will be out so the public can see it.

I'm glad they didn't give it a pistol grip.White Squirrel wrote:Not a big fan of "tactical" rifles, so just not into the AR style guns.

That is a very nice looking rifle and I hope it's successful. But at a $1000+ it's way out of my price range. Too bad, I would like to have one, after I get the .357 steel of course.
Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
An excellent choice, Army Scout. You will really enjoy the steel .357! Hope you get one soon.

Army Scout, I believe the street price will be closer to $800 than $1000

Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
We're still a couple months off on this one folks! It's on the site, but probably won't be shipping until June-July-ish. We'll absolutely be talking it up a lot more as we get closer to the shipping date.

Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
I prefer the pistol grip .... the angle of the grip seems to be a better/more comfortable fit for my hand and (fully realizing its probably all in my head) the pistol grip seems to lessen felt recoilSir Henry wrote:100% form. Re: New Henry - "Long Rifle"
I can understand that. Most of my bolt rifles have the pistol grip. I have an 03A4 with a straight stock and I can sure feel it.
