Fort Worden State Park

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Feb 19, 2018 1:01 am

We have been at Fort Worden State Park since Friday. We took the ferry to Kingston and then drove over the Hood Cana bridgel. Here we are aboard the ferry Walla Walla.

We dropped the trailer and drove around Port Townsend.

It is right at 32 degrees with high winds. I froze in the few seconds it took me to take this picture.

Nice pics. Better you than me though, I don't do cold when I can help it anymore. Lol.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I love the way you tell your story with photos.
A couple of stories I would like to know more about. But the subjects will keep their secrets no doubt.
The old trailer has obviously been well traveled. I wonder what inspired the diamond plate fender well reinforcement with the flame pattern?
And the beautiful bride with the female silouette tattoo on her thigh. Seems too large to be a spring break too many tequilas tat. And it looks a good bit like her.
Show me a picture of a pretty girl flashing some thigh..... Yeah I am going to zoom in. :D
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

I would love to have a trailer like that for my back yard. My old teardrop is already in the backyard and I use it all the time in the summer.

The movie was about a family on the Olympic Peninsula.

Sounds good SH. I will let you know as time gets closer. I haven't decided whether to drive or fly as my brother in law and sister mentioned going shooting also. He shoots trap on Tuesdays. I have a shotgun I want to haul out there to leave and I would bring some other guns. Trying to do that flying is not fun getting through the check in process. Is there any place around there a guy can shoot like clay pigeons on a bank or some reactive targets. When I was a kid we use to go to the woods and shoot. Bet you cant do that anymore. Al

Al, I live in the county and it is legal to shoot if done so safely. Unfortunately my property isn't safe. But I belong to a range where you can shoot anything you can own legally except some calibers above 50. Exploding reactive targets are banned.

I have a lot of rimfires we can shoot.

Ok Gene sounds good. I havent shot any of those exploding targets I just like shooting clays on bank or berm. But targets works to not a big deal. If I drive are there any Henry center fire guns I might have you would like to shoot. I might bring a rifle or two with me also along with a pistol or 2. I can bring the 41 maybe I could get Gene hooked on Al's favorite pistol caliber. Al

I figure the diamond plate on the front is because of years of the tow vehicle throwing stuff at it on rough roads.

Around the tire? maybe a repair with a sense of humor after a blowout. I've had trailer tires go and they often take the fender with them.

One of the things I like about working on old stuff. Old machines have stories to tell and often will tell some snippets if you listen close enough.

Common Gene a 45-70 is a pussy cat unless you have a rotten guy load a big boy load in with some target loads. I thought maybe you would like to shoot the all weather 45-70. Al
