H001T Henry

Post by TRock » Tue Dec 12, 2017 10:45 pm

Just acquired a new H001T .22 last week. I haven't got to fire it yet. Just curious of the ones that own one , if they have had positive experiences with theirs. Does it feed ammo well and cycle well? Thanks.

Hey TRock, congratulations on the Henry. That is the octagon barrel version, correct?

In any case, yes it will feed short. long or LR beautifully. Just give it a good go through to remove any junk the factory may have left behind; particularly in the barrel.

Wouldn't hurt to just cycle the action to smooth it up, just don't dry fire it.........

Good Luck

Yes Sir, it has the octagon barrel. Sounds good. Hopefully will get to get it on the range before long.

Congratulations on your new rifle. Your new rifle action should be very smooth and should not have any feeding problems. I have had my H001 (round barrel version) for several years and have put countless rounds through it. The only feeding problem ever experienced has been by the grandkids. Pretty sure it was because they short stroked the action. Each of them were pretty young when they shot it for the first time.

I also have the H001TM. It is the .22 magnum version of the rifle you have with the octagon barrel. It also has functioned flawlessly.

I'm betting you will find great enjoyment shooting you H001T. Just hope the .22 ammo stays in good supply.

I've had mine for about a month and love it. The octagonal barrel gives it a vintage look plus a bit of extra heft, I think. It shot well out of the box.
I haven't put it on a bench rest yet to check the sights but off hand it did a nice group at 30 yds or so. My eyes are 72 years old so I can't expect the weapon to compensate for that! Smooth action. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new Henry. The accuracy is excellent, and it cycles .22lr perfectly - I haven't tried it with any other type of ammo.If yours is half as good as mine, you'll love it. ;)

I have 2 of them. They both function like butter and feed ammo without any problems. I have shot alot of rounds thru them and they always put a smile on my face. Al

I've had one for more than 6 years and I love it. Shoots anything I put in it. Only one 22 rifle is more valuable to me and it is the one my dad bought me in the early 60's, for obvious reason. My Henry will skip a can as well as pop the head off a grouse. My favorite ammo is CCI Standard velocity and it is my favorite in all my rifles and handguns. Enjoy yours, Dave..

Thank you. Just waiting now to get a back procedure behind me ,so that I can get some shooting done. I have a fracture in my back. It's not all bad news because the Dr. showed my wife the xrays. All this time she has been saying that I was spineless. I guess I got the last laugh...ohhh. man it hurts when I laugh...lol

As said by others - they feed and fire most anything - this is a good platform all around
