SIMMONS 3-9X32 22 mag scope with adjustable objective
Hi all,
Need a low cost rimfire scope for plinking 50 to 100 yards.
Has any one used this Simmons model?
I know there are a lot of better scopes but my use would be less than monthly.I

Welcome to the forum, FLSMOKE. We have the Simmons 3-9X 22mag scope on a Ruger American Rimfire 22LR and it works well. I think another member on the forum recently picked one of these up for about $40 on Amazon - can't really go wrong at that price.

I use the 3-9 Simmons 22 mag on several old rifles and find it to be one of the best values in a 22 scope. Optics are actually very useable. I think the AO version would make it even more so. if you're on a tight shooting budget, this is the one to get, for sure.

Re: SIMMONS 3-9X32 22 mag scope with adjustable objective
Hi all,
Nice to see positive comments. I have a Henry Lever 22 youth model with iron sights. Use at outdoor range at 15 & 25 yards. Great little gun. Want to shoot 50 & 100 yards need scope.
Thanks,
Pete

Simmons 22 mag scope mounting rings
Hi all,
I got the Simmons 22 mag 3-9x32 scope with AO. The mounting rings that came with it are for dovetail mounting. My Henry lever 22 youth model comes with a 3/8 dovetail. When I mounted the rings there is a gap under the rings to the top of the receiver. Is this normal? I thought the rings should be flush with the top of the receiver. What rings do you guys use?
Thanks

I think what is happening is, some grooved receivers have flat tops like the Henry, while some have rounded tops, like my old Win M190 .22.
I don't think it's a big deal, though it's probably on "this side" of perfect.............
