Here's a weird little thing; the ammo inspection tag on my new rifle is dated June 11/15. My birthday is June 11.

Pics! The rifle fit the scabbard perfectly. Nice and snug, no movement at all. Matches the brass on my saddle. Later on I'll post pics on a horse. These photos are on my practice roping cow "Spruce".

Yup, it's always best to check with law enforcement. Maybe get it in writing if it's ok?

Wow I like that saddle. Very nice. The rifle looks good on it too.

Here's another pic.
So last night my wife and I were having supper in Calgary before heading home, and I get talking to a guy who turns out to be a cowboy action shooter who lives not too far from me. Strange that I just bought a rifle a few hours earlier. Anyhow, they have a match on June 24th and he invited me out to see it and meet his group. Some local rancher hosts it at his place. BBQ and all.
He did mention though that Henry's aren't fast enough for CAS but I think the Henry will be faster than me so it won't much matter.

Good plan for sure. Our society has a dim view of guns in the first place so I'm sure my neighbors up the hill won't see much humor in it.

That is a great looking rifle for sure.

It looks great with the saddle and scabbard.

I received an email this morning from Anthony Imperato about my inquiry for somewhere to buy Henry merchandise in Canada. He says Cabela's is about 3 months away from being set up to order it.
