Buck 110 helped me see the point.
Buck 110 helped me see the point.
I know that every knife owner can provide his/her story just like this one. It doesn't happen often for me, but every once in a while...
Last evening I was cleaning some knife blades just to whittle away a few extra minutes. I've not handled my new Buck 110 folder a lot, and noticed it has a very, very good grip on the blade -- especially when closing. Sometimes I'm slow in getting the point; not this time!
I didn't cut myself per se, but ah, I did nicely stab my left hand. This Buck blade really has an exquisite sharp point! Nothing serious, because I hit the spot between my thumb and forefinger where the skin easily gives way. That's what helped minimize the stab hole.....fortunate me. However, I straightened up quickly in surprise and did take notice!
We all know to be careful handling a sharp knife. I guess I'm still learning!
Have a great Christmas Eve today!

Maybe if you took your knives to nice places like Dave takes his knive, it wouldn't cut you so much...................

Blood sacrifices are not required by knife collectors, but when they happen, they do manage to quickly focus one's attention. Glad yours is just a reminder to be more careful. There are so many other blood sacrifices for us to recall; too many, really; but one most important one tonight.
Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas.

A few years ago, I was trying to use an old knife of my late husband's and I had trouble closing it. There was nothing wrong with it and my MT husband had NO issues with it.
I quit using it and as my hands got more arthritic with good and bad days... I figured out what works for me.
Seriously, take care and enjoy your knives in a safe manner.
YOU have a beautiful collection of knives.

Catherine, I found a old post of yours, about an 50th, anniversary buck 110. That can be engraved, but link
Didn't show a knife engraved, and it didn't say we're it was engraved, on the blade, or handle ?
Maybe this isn't available anymore,. Thanks for any help.

I Think, I just ordered one, engraved, will see
I called yesterday to make sure they got my order , and the engraving right, they said they got it.
I just got an email , that says it's been shipped, that's fast.
