How may of you hunt with the Brass receivers, especially big game
I was just wondering if you hunt especially big game. I was looking at the 44Mag or 30/30 for big game. I was thinking that in low light the brass would help with open sighs. The distance would be around 100yards.

I don't hunt but I'm sure my 1860 Henry would be up to the challenge.

I ended up wrapping my 44 mag Mare's Leg with a full length stock with the Mossy Oak Skin.

I'm afraid I set a rifle like that down while hunting and not being able to find it ..

I took a nice pig with my .357 BBB in Florida in May. I plan to hunt more hogs with it, as well as deer and antelope in some situations. With the right ammo, I'm fully confident with it out to 100 yards.

Bought my .44 to take advantage of Iowa now allowing us to use straight wall cartridge rifle for deer. Let you know how it works out later in December after season is over.

The leaves or did you say trees?
Plan on hunting with my BB44mag this season.
But I bought mine used, and the brass is dull lookin already.
So it shouldn't be an issue.
Not sure how old this one is and why it's faded, but I like it, guess
that's all that really matters.
Anyway hope I get to post a pic later with it and some venison.
