My best reason for buying a Henry?
No one else made the rifle I wanted!
Only Henry listened to public demand for a .327 Federal magnum lever action rifle, and BOY did they step up to the plate.
Not just one offering, but in rifle or carbine, brass or steel.
Henry hit a home run with the new .327's.
I predict in another year or two there will be another maker producing .327 levers.
Rossi/Braztec, or even Marlin.

That's not the only reason though.
I bought my first Henry used. An Hoo1 .22lr. Nothing fancy, but you can feel the quality built into it.
Next Henry I won. A $20 ticket on the "Wall of Guns" at my local FNRA banquet "bought" me a Henry Frontier model in .22WMR. SWEET...
Then Henry released the .327's. Absolutely. Done.

Then I find a deal on a used brass Big Boy .357mag carbine. I couldn't pass that up.
Evidently I'm working my way up the caliber ladder.
That being the case, I guess I need to start looking at a .41mag...

I'm alright now, but I'm sure I'll get over it!

As far as a .22 lever action available new, I'm not really aware of anything that competes with the Henrys.

To think the H001 is available for less than $300 puts it in a league of it's own.

1 - I wanted the most compact size magnum caliber I could find and carry around my cabin and hunt with legally.
2 - Well made, excellent QC
3 - Excellent customer Service and Warranty
4 - Groups well at 50 and 100 yards

My dream rifle... A Henry Mare's Leg in 44 magnum with a full length stock, total length is 31"

Now if Henry would build a 45-70 similar to the M*rl*n 1895 STP 8-)
