fire'n'um up at Bristol .... 40 cars in the starting field .... drivers and their families reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, National Anthem by the NASCAR children, flyover by a pair of Warthogs .... that's NASCAR

good competition between the 42 and 18 in stage 1

oh well, decent race, don't care for the winner .... my girl finished 25th (pretty much where she started and ran all night)

Kyle Busch swept the week-end. Truck, Infinity and Cup.

Many do not like him but the kid can drive.

The 40th win for him tonight.

Good crowd tonight as well.

I believe it was due to Jr's last race in Bristol.

By the traffic in I-81 South this morning, I witnessed a good part of that crowd myself.

By the way, the Bristol race tonight was put on by NBC, but broadcasted by FOX !!

Strangest thing I've ever seen.

The even had their NBC logo on the top right of the screen, but yet on my Fox channel.

off weekend for the Monster drivers .... their next start is scheduled to be Sunday, September 3 | 6:00 PM EDT | NBCSN .... the XFINITY circuit is scheduled to run the Road America road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin Sunday, August 27 | 3:00 PM EDT | NBC

I'm a little surprised that the Holiday week-end race won't be on regular TV. It usually is on all those week-ends, the best I can remember. Well I guess it will be back to MRN Radio, the Live Leader Board on the Computer and maybe Race Cam too, lol.

I'll be watching today though as much as time allows, although I'm not a big road course fan, lol.

The Xfinity Series has been pretty good this year. My favorite driver is in 1st Place to boot.

Southern 500 at Darlington .... today September 3rd .... 40 car field set to take the green flag which is due to drop at 6:00 PM ET on NBCSN .... Harvick on the Pole, Truex 2nd .... really looking forward to this one

Truex wins both first and second stages ..... no surprise there

congrats to the 11 team .... they made mistakes and fought back to overcome them .... my girl finished 26th, about where she ran all day

Yeah, Congrats to Denny. Never figured he was going accomplish it after that big mistake, but he drove his butt off and won it.

A pretty good night for Childress. Dillon had another top 5 in 4th place and Newman in 7th.

Great to see Richard Petty on the track.

must be something weird going on .. .. my girl qualified 19th for tonight's race ... considering the 48 qualified 20th and the 88 qualified 21st, she's is pretty good company ..
