44 mag Cimarron

back in the mid to late '60's I had a Blackhawk 44 mag with an 8 or 10" barrel (don't remember exactly ) .... killed my first bears and first boar with it .... very solid, very accurate .... unfortunately from day one I know it wasn't a revolver that I'd hold onto for very long .... I simply never did adjust to the way it western style grip allowed it to rotate in my hand ....

That's one big chunk of steel, RR. By the way, if you think shooting factory 45 Colt is expensive, the 44 mag is right there with it. Now that I don't reload, my 44 mag shooting is down to an occasional outing with one of the Contenders wearing a 44 mag barrel.

That looks a lot like our 44Mag Ruger Super Blawkhawk, which is also a big shootin iron...

got to looking for a picture that showed one like I had back in the 60's .... the 44 had a 10" +/- barrel .... also had a matching 357 & 22, each with about a 6" barrel .... while I'd love to have them back today I doubt I'd fire the 44 very often .... the grip of a Redhawk works better for me

That looks a lot like our 44Mag Ruger Super Blawkhawk, which is also a big shootin iron...
