I am rereading THE QUICK and THE DEAD one more time before I donate it.

This NOVEL was made into a movie with Sam Elliot.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093811/
It is not the same theme or story as the OTHER The Quick and The Dead movie with Sharon Stone and Gene Hackman.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114214/
I donated the Stone/Hackman Q/D movie and I may (?) donate the Elliot movie to the library so that others may get to see it too.
I watched both of those movies many, many times.
I may reread LONESOME DOVE again and/or watch the series with my husband.
I read a LOT online and study various subjects on a regular basis. I love to read but I don't buy or KEEP 5,000 books like I did growing up and up until a few years before I moved out west. On top of that, I always used my libraries a lot growing up on the East Coast and while living in the Great Lakes region as a bride and widow - late husband's home state not mine.
I plan on reading the entire Bible this year again too.
I want to read the LONGMIRE SERIES and all of the Jack Reacher books too. I loved Clancy too. I have eclectic tastes in books, movies, music and plays. Around Christmas 2017 the 5th season (?) of my husband's LONGMIRE dvd will finally come OUT for sale. I think that people who have Netflix are watching the 6th season now (?) since they took it off of cable tv and Netflix picked it up a few years ago.
We don't pay for television (Cable or Dish) since most of what is ON - we wouldn't watch it even if it was for FREE. I have a $10. RCA antenna with a flat screen tv and can actually get SOME reception in this part of town where I built. Shocker to me since MOST of Missoula can't get ANY reception including PBS from the U of M due to the mountain ranges and where some idiot (!!!) put up the tv towers way back when. We watch a lot of the British shows - mysteries, etc. on PBS and some nature shows. Some nice music shows on and off. I watch Grit tv, Me tv and Movies tv for some westerns, movies and mysteries. We hardly ever see anything on any of the FREE MAIN STREAM STATIONS (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC) or listed on cable/dish IF we had it which we don't that we really would want to watch and BOOKS are so much better. I get around 16 or so stations and I even pick up Spokane, WA PBS not just Montana PBS. I listen to the radio in the house and online sometimes from all across the country and around the world.
I prefer silence in the house too. Grin.
One thing about BOOKS, yes, sometimes the author has an agenda... non fiction or fiction BUT with the boob tube... it seems that just about every single show (DRAMA, COMEDY THAT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY, TALK SHOW - UGH, NEWS, ETC.) has to have some snowflake, some SJW who has no clue about what they believe in or THEIR OWN HISTORY, some journalist - not, or some agenda stuck into the story line, PLOT or news (?!?) that has nothing to do with the dang story line!
I enjoy some old shows and movies but if I had NO screen or a dvd... I could live without it as long as I could read online, have a few special books and a library to use.
I have given up on some well known authors (Uh huh!) and MANY actors, actresses and singers due to their mouths and hate filled comments over the years. People that I Never thought would turn out as they did including some well known authors in specific circles.
