Have to say that I like the Stage Racing better than I thought I would, and I agree on the Competition Caution (basically being against it too), but the rule I really hate and the one they need to get rid of is that stupid 5-Minute Rule.

no clue why but a while back I got an email from NASCAR asking me to be a member of their Official Fan Council .... I said yes, and ever since I get at lest one and often more than one survey following every race .... these surveys have covered a wide range of topics, from sponsors, to media coverage, to rules (stage racing), etc .... I have no clue how many folks they sent these surveys to or if they pay any attention to the responses or not .... if they do read mine, I'm pretty sure they like some and don't like some .... I haven't held back about the boring racing they have created by their dedication to making all cars equal ..... as an example with Indy I gave the first two stages the lowest possible rating because of the lack of lead changes and passing ... on the other hand, I've given some of their other questions some very positive responses

I got the same offer. But when I went to fill out the "application", it wanted to know my exact Birth date. I tried to skip part of it (Month and Day) and it would not accept it. Did not like the idea of that and decided to just forget about it.

Have to say though, that I have their official Fan Fare E-mail address on file.

They do hear from me now and then.

over the years I've sent them several emails and a good time back even sent them some notes by snail mail .... guess that's where I got on their list .... there are probably multitudes of folks out there who they have contacted .... no clue if them really pay any attention to the responses

it would be nice to think so .... I have no doubt that I haven't told them anything (positive or negative) that they haven't already heard .... the question becomes, will they listen :?:

Took a nap and didn't miss a thing.
I am a Joe Gibs fan so this win is good for him. I hope he picks up a driver that I can respect in the near future.

Off to Watkins Glen, I like the road races. Maybe the 10 or 47 cars can run up front.

if I was driving, I believe I'd really look forward to road courses .... as a fan, I don't .... once again, very little passing and/or lead changes

There is a lot of passing and action on road courses, they just can't cover the track on TV as well.
