I know this topic has probably been covered before... but like most gun folks, I never tire of hearing about guns folks would like to buy. 
We all have our Bucket List... Some have a realistic list, some would need to win the lottery. 
Mine used to be a lot longer. A LOT longer. But.... I have narrowed it down considerably. I'll share it with you all, and I hope you will share your's with me. Here are the few guns that remain on mine and why.... IN NO particular order.Colt Diamondback .38 Four or Six Inch.
I have a Colt Diamondback .22 that I bought in the 80s while stationed in Hawaii. The kids all learned to shoot with that fine little gun and she is going NOwhere, but I would love to add the Diamondback 38 to the stable to mate with the .22. The little Diamondback is a D frame gun, and traditionally very accurate. I know the .22 is a tack driver. The "Snake" Colts are harder and harder to find, and are priced accordingly. I think I paid in the $300 range for the Diamondback in the 80s; it'll bring around twelve to fifteen these days IF I let 'er go. (NOT)

Colt Gold Cup National Match (Stainless) if possible
Years ago, when I started competing in PPC, my Springfield 45 was in the gunsmith's hands being built into the ugly tack driver it is today. I didn't have a 45 for Service Auto. A friend offered to loan me a .45 and said he'd bring one out of his safe. He brought his Stainless Gold Cup National Match Series 70... Beautiful. I won the Service Auto that day, beating his 20 year old son, David, in the process. His son said, "Thanks Dad."
I tried to buy That Gold Cup several times over the years, but the guy said, "It's Davids, he'll get it when I croak. You beat him with it, but he get's the last laugh." I'd like to have a National Match in Blue or Stainless, just because. They are scarce too. So, Costly.

Springfield M1A (Civilian Version of the M14)
Hey, I was a Marine, and I shot the M14 in High Power Matches off and on throughout my time in the Corps. The Garand was the second favorite, but the EnBloc Clips were a pain in the butt and the 30-06 ammo is more expensive. If I ever needed to reach WAY out and touch someone... or something.... this would do it. I can live without this one, but it's on the list Just Because.
Thompson .45 Semi Auto Version (Chicago Typewriter)
Another one of the just because things. I have had the opportunity to pick up a couple here and there, but the price hasn't been right. I would like to have one, but I don't NEED one. Cabela's had one that came in an oversized violin case, with two stick mags and a drum mag and was really nice, but they wanted a pretty penny. It was cool and all, but who really needs the extras. I kick myself for not buying the 1940s Thompson I had a shot at years ago, but ... I was on a lot tighter budget back then.
Ruger Single Action with Stag/Bone Grips 4 to 6 inch barrel (Uberti would work I guess)
I'd like it in 357, but 45 will work. I'd just have to buy Long Colt dies for my dillon press. Couple Hundred bucks to add the new caliber, something I'd like to avoid. If I got the single action in 45LC, then I'd have to add another Henry...
I would like stag grips, or bone; but I'd also like the birds head style and color case hardened frame. But... I'm not too picky. I could also go with Nickle and bright bone grips.This last one is a dream... far out of my price range,
The Classic Henry 1860 in 44 caliber
Another Just Because. I like the Rifle, have no use for it, other than Just Because. If you dream, dream big, right? I wouldn't want all the engraving and fancy stuff, but I would like a beautiful stock and brass or color case hardened receiver. If I got this one, I'd have to build another custom wood carry case. If the first one turns out nice.
I don't NEED any of the guns on my bucket list, and in fact I could probably sell many of the guns in my collection, if I sold guns. I don't like to sell guns, unless I know the buyer. I don't advertise. I don't sell to strangers. LOL. I'm no longer teaching so I could let go of a few of the extras I had to put students on the line with. Not. Those would pay for part of the list.
But that would mean Selling guns. I didn't know you could do that.Anywho... Bucket lists... ? Let's see 'em.
