I'm still waiting for the .327fed/mag Big Boys in steel to be released...

I'm still holding out for a .22WMR/.410 over and under.

I have one of the original Savage model 24 in .22lr/.410 bore over/under. It is the quintessential single shot for teaching squirrel hunting.Sir Henry wrote:I'm still holding out for a .22WMR/.410 over and under.
If I saw one with the Henry name on it, especially in .22WMR, it would go home with me.

Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I'd like to see them produce external hammer 12 & 20 ga coach guns with a 20" barrel .... such shotguns would be an excellent complement to Henry's dedication to western style firearms .... my bet is they would be very popular among cowboy action shooters
Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I'm not too much of a "wish list" person for what might be. But in this choice of a shotgun style, I'd definitely give it a thumbs up! That is a very cool configuration for a coach gun --- with external hammers. I think you're right on what a coach gun historically reflects, and they look really sharp with external hammers. I really enjoyed shooting my Stoeger 20-ga coach gun!
I hope Henry listens to your great choice for this new Henry shotgun!
Here it is.......and all dressed out, too!

Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I don't know if my wishful Henry has been posted but I would like a simple 45-70 steel with a 20" barrel and a full length mag. So basically the h010 but two inches longer.

I would be first in line for a 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 17 Winchester Super Mag.
Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
Would you also have to get in line to find ammo for it. I wonder is this cartridge facing a 5 mm Remington future.

I agree a 410 level action but add a large loop for us with big hands.

In this area 17wsm ammo is available at all the big box sporting goods and Walmart.
Admittedly it's more of a novelty cartridge with the California lead bullet ban but the new VarmintX lead free is promosing.
Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I have a couple or three wishes. First (I think this is a repeat) I'd like to see the H009 chambered in 35 Remington. It's a wonderful cartridge, sort of the .30-30 on steroids. The 35 has a small but very loyal following, made up of shooters who swear by its effectiveness as a hunting round. The 35 kills stuff deader.
Second, I'd like to see more of the lever guns offered with Skinner sights as standard equipment.
Lastly, I'd love to see a "handier" pistol caliber carbine. The Big Boys, while they're excellent rifles, are aptly named. They're big. I wonder if Henry could put one on a diet, and make a slimmer, trimmer gun in .357/.38.

I'm thinking something like the old Winchester Trapper.ditto1958 wrote: Lastly, I'd love to see a "handier" pistol caliber carbine. The Big Boys, while they're excellent rifles, are aptly named. They're big. I wonder if Henry could put one on a diet, and make a slimmer, trimmer gun in .357/.38.

An 1866 and an 1873 in 44-40 and 45 Colt. It would be great to see these rifles made in the USA again.

Might need to use the Long Ranger format for 17 Winchester Super Mag, using a modified 223 bolt on the 25 caliber rimmed case.Ojaileveraction wrote:I would be first in line for a 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 17 Winchester Super Mag.
I mean I like the Octagon look but what ever works.

I wish Henry would make a Big Bore Long Ranger in 450 Marlin! It really needs a pistol grip and a 1" Pachmayer Decelerator pad. Could also use a threaded barrel fitted with a recoil arrestor for the timid and target shooting. A all weather version of this would be even better!

Kind of like a particle accelerator ?

I would love to see Henry dress up their octagon barrel .22 HOO1-T with a shiny Evil Roy receiver cover and chromed screws, the shiny barrel band and checkered stock & forearm.
