the weather for tonight's All Star race in Charlotte looks great .... sure hope they put on a good show

Boyer wins Stage 1 .... he had the 14 out front all the way

Blaney in the Wood Brothers 21 car took Stage 2 .... he was out front every lap and made no mistakes

Daniel Suarez in the 19 took Stage 3 .... Chase in the 24 got in on the fan vote .... the field is now set for tonight's All Star Race

I voted for Blaney for the Fan Vote.

So I'm extra glad that he won a Stage.

Larson (42) has been out front on every lap in the first two stages of the All Star race .... the 48 doesn't look bad ....it will be interesting to see how the 3rd stage stacks up

there is no taking away from the fact he did what he had to do .... that said, I'd rather see any of the other drivers in NASCAR's top level take the checker

Sunday's Coke 600 is scheduled to be on regular FOX, starting at 6PM Eastern ... Harvick is on the Pole .... Johnson rolls out 14th, Danica 15th, Junior 19th .... I'm looking forward to watching it, need to make sure to get some extra popcorn ..

NASCAR announced Monday that this year’s Coca-Cola 600 — the longest race for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series — will be run with one additional stage.

The annual 600-mile race, scheduled May 28 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will feature four stages. Breaks are scheduled at Lap 100, Lap 200 and Lap 300, with the final stage set to end at the full 400-lap distance.

green-white-checker .... the 42 was the class of the field in the closing laps .... congrats to the 48 for equaling Cale Yarborough's 83 victory total .... my girl finished 10th with Jr 11th

I was glad to see Danica finish 10th .... its been reported that her sponsor has pulled out of their deal to sponsor her for the next two years .... given, she's run strong in a couple of other races and was taken out by late wrecks that weren't her fault .... there is no way of knowing the number of young girls she has inspired to believe that they can compete .... that said, NASCAR is all about money and I can't help but wonder how much longer she will be able to get sponsors if she doesn't improve her finishes ....

along the same line, one can't help but wonder how long Hendrick will go along with Kasey Kahne ....

"The Hendrick Motorsports driver hasn't been in Victory Lane since 2014 (Atlanta), and he has not made the post season since that same season. Currently he's 20th in points after Sunday"
