Home invaders

This why I NEVER open my door to anyone at night . Even my neighbors know I come to the door with DUKE and a 23C Glock and never open the door ..... Anyone on my porch is trespassing will be shot .

I don't like shotguns for defense . Sold the pump below . I've done combat type shooting and matches for 50 yrs and a pistol will beats a shotgun 95% of the time in the correct hands . This is not a opinion but a fact .

Thanks for the reminder...we tend to forget Ayoob's sage advice. And the video was timely in pointing out always to be very careful. Last night on local news a home invasion was reported in KCMO, and very sadly, a triple homicide happened in KCKS. The homicide also had a home entry involved.

Extremely tough day yesterday for some folk in both KCs....
Thanks for the posting.

Anyone who knows me , knows to call my house before coming over to my house if it is DARK outside . At night time I treat all knocks at my door as a home invasion . THAT IS NO JOKE . Anyone standing on my porch I treat as a armed bad guy with or without a gun and I will NEVER open the door to anyone at night . I have COPD bad and a unarmed bad guy is the same as a armed person since 10 steps or 20 second in fight I no longer can breath anymore . Duke has saved my life 3X medically and he will give his last breath for me . He was raised and trained as a guard dog not a watch dog and if he's not on a leash like a COP K-9 he will attack anyone or thing in house .

Duke and I share a birthday, TGR, though I'm quite a bit older than he is. He's a beautiful dog and more than that, he's your good friend. I hope he eats the very best.

If he needs or wants something he will sit in front of me and bark at me till I get it for him . He has milk bones and jerky for snack . His doggy bowl always has dry food in it . I give him can dog food or once a month I cook up 10 lbs chicken thigh with carrot , string bean and rice to feed him for 10 days . I steam all veggy I make for my dinner he loves those veggy [ NO PEAS } like me with a little butter . He will eat spinach or collard greens with a little butter before eating a steak or any type of beef .

Old army guy I love your gun . Personally I prefer not to use flashlight in the house but when I do I like a strobe light my other hand not in the same hand as my gun . Normally the bad guys will shoot at the light so I hold the flashlight/strobe arms length to the side . Now this my opinion . When it comes down to shooting a home invader you need to able to hit the bad guy under 15 yds without any sights on your gun . I practice at many time with a draw and fire at target with NO AIMING / eyes closed you will be surprised how good you can do . I love these 2 video Rob made about aiming .
