Just wanted to say Hello and check out the posts here.
I am the proud new owner of a H009BWL. I am not a hunter, but enjoy sport and recreation shooting.
I chose the 30-30 because it's an ammo I enjoy and have had experience with. I would say I'm not a show off, but then.... I did chose the brass engraved
model!!! However I find this rifle equally as much fun to shoot as it is to look at.
So far I have changed the sites and am about to mount the large lever Henry offers. I have large hands.
Looking forward to the conversations and experiences posted here. I'll contribute when I have some tails or lies to tell.

Thanks for the kind greetings.
Been a while since I posted. But I'm happy to say that I have had the opportunity to put several hundred rounds through my Brass Wildlife 30-30.
Flawless function and as much fun to look at, as to shoot!
I did upgrade the sights to the fiber-optic. These eyes are no longer 20 years old!!
To answer come questions, I'm down southern part of the central coast. But North of LA.
This is presently my only Henry. But I'm absolutely enjoying it!

I do not think I could have chose a better caliber. 30-30 gives a nice bang at a reasonable price per round. I don't do reloading. Probably never get into the volume of shooting to make that happen.
One thing I do to add stability with the polished brass stock. I found that the polished brass slid around my shoulder quite a bit while shooting. Made it more of a challenge to hold on a target.
I resolved this by applying a removable rubber pad to the stock. No more slippage and better sighting the target. The pad I use was a simple cell phone to car window holder. Non adhesive, it sticks to any flat surface and is intended for hold a cell phone to a car window. It can be removed and used over and over. I got this in a give away bag at an event I went to. I just cut it in a 1" strip and put it on the Brass stock when shooting. It removes and leaves absolutely no residue. I'm sure they sell these things in the internet. Mine is just kept in my shooting bag until the next time I'm out with the Henry.

I also like the .30-30, and had one of those Henry models back in early 2014. But mine was in the group of production runs that had a lot of difficulty with the lever popping back open when loading the ammo tube. Henry CS was great, did a couple of check ups at their shop with no shipping charge or repair costs to me, but at the third try it was still a no-go. Henry kindly refunded the rifle cost to me.

I'm glad the newer .30-30 rifles are now in excellent working condition as Henry got that glitch finally fixed. Enjoy!

I've been able to range and field fire the H009B and must say, I'm lovin it!
