gun room work

Post by bandit1250 » Fri Apr 14, 2017 5:55 pm

I sealed the new block wall two days ago and now I need to paint it. I also went and bought two new base cabinets to sit my new butcher block counter top on. I am going to join a 1 3/4" solid counter 8' long to a 4' to give me a 12' bench. My old cabinet has been repaired and will go on the opposite wall with it's 8 3/4' counter top on it. I will have a lot more counter area to do work on. May not drill any holes in the new one as I already had the old one drilled for my loader and vise and other tools. I just stained the cabinets and now wait for them to dry and smooth the roughness off and put finish on them and get them set in their new home. I bought heavy duty drawer sliders to make the big center fake drawer work. have to make sides and a bottom yet for the drawer. This has been a up hill battle with this house since the car accident but things are getting much better. I NEED MY ROOM BACK!Image

It looks a lot like a sterling silver lining, Bandit! You're going to be so happy with it!

It definitely sounds like you're getting on top of a bad situation now, bandit. Image

Those cabinets are going to look great when you fit the counter tops, and you'll have a really solid bench to do whatever jobs come along. ;)
