I carry a Glock 36. The only thing I don't like is the no cast bullets barrel. I do have two and a half boxes of 230 grain hardball bullets for reloading so I still get to practice a lot. I use a green felt tipped pen on the headstamp so I can pick up my good brass at the range from the Glock and my National Match.

If I pickup 45 ACP range brass I resize in a 308 Winc or 30-06 small base die or Lee sizing die below .

I rented 23C and it shot very well. I still want to try out a 27 before committing to buying a Glock for carry.

I've owned a lot of different bottom feeder . Below is some of my CCW guns . Only the 1911 can match the Glock in aftermarket parts . Here is some pics . Most holster fit most both gun . The 23 is the best to carry , but the 27 hides like a micro guns . If you have big hands the Gen 4 is the one to buy for different grips frames and lots of grip frame in the aftermarket world with or without beaver tails . The extra length mag is great for shooting the 27 , but it make it a 1/2" shorter barrel 23 .

I like Glocks, and was a LE instructor for our Department for ten years. When I started there, we carried Smith Model 64s, which I shot well, but they wanted to transition to Semi-Autos. I set up a Test and Eval Period and got in a range of guns to test. Sig P220, Beretta 92, Smith 9mm (Can't remember the model #, and the Glock 22. I had a cross section of our officers try each firearm and rate the various aspects according to their impressions. Accuracy, recoil, ergonomics, carry comfort, ease of cleaning, etc.

I had male and female officers, experts, sharpshooters, and marksman who barely qualified during each semiannual session. Younger and older officers. I didn't leave anyone out, so no-one could whine later that the testing was conducted by the Gun Nuts and we chose what WE wanted. When the numbers were all crunched the voting pretty much split between the SIG .45 and the Glock 40 with a slight lead for the SIG. The Glock was about $40 cheaper so the chief went with the ... Glock. Ammo was also cheaper, and would be a large cost over a five year breakdown, which was included in my summary.

After carrying the Glock 22 for five years, Glock offered to allow us to swap for new Glock 23s, they refurbished the Glock 22s and the Officers who so desired could buy their duty Glock 22s at cost. Guns that were NOT purchased, were wholesaled to the local Gun Dealer as used LE guns. Very few guns went that route. I certainly bought my G22 and later added a 23 and 23c to my Safe. I also shot a 35 longslide in competition.

I went to a number of Glock Schools including the armorer's school. I can't say I love Glocks, but I own a number of them and they are good guns.
Depending on the weather and my destination, I'll carry the 23c, the 27, or the P220.

If you have a Glock in 40SW...... Lone Wolf and a few other sells a conversion barrel to change them to 9mm with a barrel swap for $109 and your 40SW mag will work . You CAN"T take 9mm and make it a 40SW .

My wife and I have more Glocks than anything else, eleven total. Four 42's, four 19's, one 17, and two 20's. I decided to go that route when she was learning on handguns and decided to start carrying. They are such an easy platform to train someone on, easy to maintain, and spare parts are plentiful and cheap.

Did the same with defensive rifles with two AR's. Also easy to train on and maintain.

Just recently bought dies to reload 10mm for the 20's. Now I have to see if I have enough brass saved. If not, I'll eventually buy some Starline brass. I have a Lone Wolf conversion barrel to shoot .40 S&W out of it. Although, it will handle it out of the stock barrel fine and some people have put thousands of rounds of .40 out of their stock barrel with no issues.

Shooting 40SW in 10mm in a pinch is OK . Must be loaded from mag only so extractor holds cartridge against breach face . 40SW is over 35,000 psi cartridge and can blowup your gun if the head space in not correct . Like you for $109 get a 40SW barrel so why take the chance .

I love the 10mm cartridge but like the 45acp the triggers in double stack DA guns are too far forward for me reach and shoot it good and correctly . The Glock DA small frame in 9mm /40SW fits me perfect .

Yes, I bought a Lee four die set, so it will be good for .40 or 10mm. I have some .40 brass, not sure how much. I'll have to dig thru all my bags and see how much .40 & 10mm I have.

My wife and I both have long fingers. We have Gen 3 20's, not the smaller SF version. The reach is pretty much perfect for me. The SF probably would fit her better, but she says she likes the larger size frame.

I have only loaded rimmed cartridges. So this will be a little different. Most of my loading will be at somewhat lower pressures, more plinking loads with a 180gr plated bullet at about 1050 to 1100fps or so. I have a pound of Power Pistol that will get that bullet to that velocity pretty easy while keeping pressure low and easy on the brass.

My CCW in Ca was only good from San Diego to San Francisco . I could not carry anything north of San Francisco and I could only carry 1 of 3 guns listed on my lic . It was only good for 1 yr and then you must take day off to renew it . It was a real pain in the butt and not cheap too .

I purchased my one and only Glock 19 in celebration of voting 2 weeks before the election.

Went to the range after voting. Unloaded some lead and then took home the new gun.

You have a USA made GLOCK . I tried the beaver grip and I can't say anything good or bad about it . Now my TruGlo sights are the best in my opinion . I can shoot faster and more accurate then I can with a aim point , laser or scope . I guess 50 yrs of different type of combat type match and 16 yrs of SASS\CAS match help me .
