Original rifles

Just curious -- has anyone ever seen some original Henry Repeating rifles -- era 1860? How was the fit and finish? Or can you tell if it originally was very good? For instance, did they use walnut? Was it smooth?

Check these out. Some of the photos are quite close up and you can see the wood to metal finish looks pretty good on them considering their age and that they have been exposed to who knows what for weather and elements over the years.

The Uberti looks virtually identical from what I can tell. Right down to the reddish stain on the wood that seems to be either a love it or hate it on other forums. I'll reserve judgement until mine arrives next month. If it looks authentic, I'm happy.
