Here is some birdshead grips . Ruger never made them in 32-20 or 44-40 so I made some them . I sold all the gun in the pic except for the 357 mag and 44-40 sheriff model . One person on this forum owns 3 of them ...

I love my Uberti / Cimarron " P jr" the best of my SA action guns . . These are built on the 7/8 size frame and fit my small hands perfect of all SA guns and they shoot good too .

Is your Uberti marked Cimarron? I know Cimarron marketed some SA made by Uberti.

All Cimmarron marked Cimmarron and most are made by Uberti and it is on there box . There cheap 22 SA , shotguns and non-lever guns are made by different companies . Pedersoli make most of there single rifle which is a upgrade in my book over Uberti . ...

Planing on getting a Uberti 1873 Cattleman 22lr 6 shot. Waiting for permits. I was told would take 3-4 months. Not out of the norm in NJ. What surprised me is that your shooting Thunderbolts with no leading! Used them in my Single Six. After 50 rounds I had trouble getting a bore brush down the barrel.
Found them very dirty.

Most 44-40 aka 44WCF is loaded for 73 Winc rifle and Colt SA so it is loaded mildly . There was ammo loaded with HV on the box was loaded for 92 Wins rifles only which is compare to 44 mag in today's world and is safe in my Ruger Vaquero's but not in modern 73 rifle or SA Colt clones . The 38-40 and 44-40 are perfect cartridge for black powder because the bottleneck seals black powder fouling in the bore and don't let it in the action like a straight wall cartridge and gum up the works . I hope this make sense

Nice, I can see myself going for my restricted license next year and one of those Cimmaron / Uberti's would be fun at the range even with all the hassle of permits to transport...beautiful pistol.

I had a pair of cons # Ruger Baby Vaquero in 22 lr/ 22 mag that both guns lead up on everything I shot in them bad . So I sold them at a big lost and I got the Cimarron 22 lr and the 1st thing I did was to try and make it lead up and I shot a brick of Thunder Bolts in a few hours in it with zero leading . NO more Ruger 22 revolver for me ever .

The last 5 22 Single-Six's all leaded up bad and I will never buy a Ruger SS in 22 lr ever again . I had a pair of Cons # Baby Vaquero [rare] that lead up super bad that I sold to a buddy at a big loss . He is a collector and not a shooter and don't care if they lead up . My Uberti 22 I use for SASS/CAS practice on steel and after shooting 500 rounds had ZERO lead in bore and I now have shot 5000 rds in this gun without any leading . I can clean the bore with a wet patch and 2 dry patch and no brush needed .

The Ruger are have the .224 barrel size and should be .2225 . The cylinders a drilled straight threw and not chambers like the Uberti . When I was doing the cowboy action stuff I would shoot over 500 rds a week easy and I didn't like spending more time deleading a barrel then shooting it . And I can't put with wild shots and fliers with a leaded up barrel . This don't happen with my Uberti and it shoots everything and anything .
