Hope this is ok to post - gig videos

Post by Bish1309 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 4:36 pm

Well, gang. The time has finally come. My 3 month basement project with my music is finally going public.

We had our first outing this past Saturday night and I recording it from the only vantage point I could safely use.....behind the drummer. (Me)

Here's some YouTube links to the videos in case you would like to watch. The longest I think is 5 minutes.

Hope you approve.

Congratulations to you and your band, Bish. I think you could have legs. 8-)

But, I'd like to suggest that in the future, you use two recording devices with the primary audio recording somewhere in the center of the listening area and your primary video camera where ever it seems best to you. I think you guys are pretty good, but I'd really like to have heard a clear blended mix of the band's instruments and vocals. I'm pretty sure I'd really like it.

You got it!

There will be other recordings and better ones. This was the maiden voyage.

Thanks for the views and comments!

Good stuff, thanks. After many years of playing 1-man cowboy music shows around here, I hung up the guitar after last summer. Still play once in awhile just for relaxation at home, but no more gigs for this old cowboy. Good luck with your band!

We do. I should say they did before I joined. I'm am in the process of learning them and we did attempt them this past weekend. I'm creating a video file and will upload it to YouTube and post a link shortly. Creating the video and the upload take a while. Check back this afternoon or sometime after that. Thanks for asking.

Surprise. I got it accomplished already. Here's two back to back AC/DC songs.

Forgive me for I have made errors. I'm not new to AC/DC but I've never been in a band that played them until now so I'm still getting the songs sorted out.

That sounds pretty good but the drummer doesnt look like hes havin much fun. Now what about some good old country like Merle Haggard.
