Deeper than I thought

Post by bandit1250 » Sat Feb 25, 2017 7:00 am

We dug out the front of the foundation yesterday that needs to be replaced from the car hitting my home. Went down to get below any damage and it was 11 blocks deep so they dug on down and put in a drain pipe at the footer to drain any water from laying in the bottom. My yard now looks like some one dropped a bomb in it. I am not a lawn freak where it has to be perfect. I got better things to do than get excited about my lawn when I can be pulling the trigger on my rifles instead. I can see a lot of work that will need done to get it back to where it was before. The block layer is supposed to work the whole weekend to finish his part of the job if the weather holds out. Calling for showers and I hope the forecast is wrong. Need to get ready for them to get here and get started. Have a great week end.

Glad to hear they put in a drain pipe! Hope they seal the blocks before they back fill...

Thanks for the update, Bandit. When I first read the title of this post, I thought you would be talking about philosophy. Turns out, I was right:

I really hope that everything goes smoothly for you, bandit. It must be very frustrating for you and your wife, but hopefully this will be the start of better things. ;)
