I don't even to pretend to understand the new points system so I have no clue if it is playing a part in today's Xfinity race at Daytona .... not even 30 laps into the race they are under their second red flag .. .. looking forward to tomorrow when the big boys take the track

per NASCAR.com ===> "Reserved stadium tickets for the 59th annual DAYTONA 500, the season-opening event for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, are sold out, Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile announced today.

Ticket holders for "The Great American Race" on Sunday will enjoy all the amenities that come with the world's only motorsports stadium including 101,500 permanent and wider seats, five expanded and redesigned entrances, 40 escalators and other upgrades throughout the 11 football-field sized neighborhoods in the facility."

its good to hear that fans are returning to the track

A beautiful day in Daytona to start the regular first race of the NASCAR Monster Cup racing season, looking forward to it and hoping for a great race! Hope your favorite driver wins! Also glad to see Dale Earnhardt Jr. back.

I'm < 50 mi from the track. It's an absolutely beautiful blue bird type day. The weather could not be better for racing; a Florida sun to heat the track but that cool air the engines love

hey now .... don't be too harsh on my girl .. :o .. she qualified ahead of many good drivers .... I think she has as good of a chance as anyone on tracks like Daytona .... "The Big One" has a way of equalizing things

Not sure how I feel about the stages and a yellow flag after each......
But I'm willing to give it a chance!
Favorite seat, cold beer! Let's go racing!!
Dare I say Denny for back to back wins?!

understood .... after watching yesterday's Xfinity race, I can see some positives in the new points system .... Sadler had the dominate car for 2/3 of the race .... under the old system where a wreck took him out and he didn't finish the race, his points earned wouldn't have been in keeping with his performance .... under the new system, it was rewarded and (last time I looked) he is in 4th place
