Wind Chimes

Post by Sir Henry » Sun Feb 12, 2017 4:43 pm

I bought a Music of the Spheres wind chime yesterday. It weighs 42 pounds and has a very deep sound. Their slogan is "The Stradivarius of wind chimes".

I've had this one for a year.

We've got several of them, too, all surrounding our deck and the water garden. They're all well tuned and range from small to large; we enjoy them all very much. Your Music of the Spheres is a beauty and likely sounds as good as it looks. Cool.

I bought momma a set of nice, deep wind chimes years ago. The strings self destructed and she threw them out. They sounded great.

Those look like they will be nice. The deeper the sound, the better. You do get what you pay for in wind chimes.

I've been eyeing the Music of the Spheres chimes for a couple of years but because of the price never pulled the trigger. I'm collecting the Mongolian series. These two make all my other chimes seem like toys.

We have several wind chimes going in various places around home. Can't help but think how much fun they'd be to ring with 45 Colt slugs....

They do get on my nerves after awhile, and you are correct they are ringing 98% of the time here. But my wife likes them and would frown on them shot full of holes... :)

I remember well the paddle full of holes for striking ones be hind. I can imagine that a pipe with holes might have the same effect on ones head.

I use to have Woodstock wind chimes but now use bells made by U.S. Bells in Maine. They are bronze bells cast right in Prospest Harbor, Maine and are very peaceful even on a very windy day.

don't have any, simply not something I enjoy .... however, I do believe that it would be fun to ring them with some light loaded 44 Mag rounds .. :D

I just ordered more chimes direct from the manufacturer. I'll now have five Music of the Spheres chimes.
