Outside range time, 60deg in January

Post by DWD445 » Mon Jan 23, 2017 3:39 pm

Gotta love the weather we've had, I'll put up with rain for these temperatures in January :D
Went to friend's house where I trap shoot and did some metal target shooting from 100yds. A little cloudy, but otherwise great. Nice pavilion with a table and rest and targets at 100yds. Sighted in my DW 44 from removing rear sight last major clean up, have a couple unimpressive targets from that, but got it and was hitting the rectangular target in pic from 100yds. I was more impressed with my 1911 45 at the same target, hitting consistently with it.
The Henry did great as always, the pendulum targets swing pretty good with a square hit and 240g 44s, again consistently at 100yds :D
What a nice set up and beautiful day. The reservoir is visible now, with the leaves gone, water high too!!

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Been a long time since we've seen green grass and will be a few more months before we do, again. Went to the range, anyway, today to do a little short range work with the pistols. Just didn't feel up to wading though heavy snow to put up rifle targets.

Thanks NCG, grass is green at my place, but that's all ivey in the woods!! Green is better than white for sure though
Had a good pic of the table & rest, but it won't load :?

NCG lives near the North Pole. In other parts of Wisconsin, we have two whole weeks of summer.
