Back to my cowgirl roots, New Vaquero in 357

I like watching my wife shoot. For that matter, I like watching her all the time. She's a beautiful woman She has some arthritis in both wrists/thumbs, so I load some lite 200 gr bullets at low velocity for her to shoot in the Super Blackhawks. But, the weight of those revolvers is still a lot and even the recoil of those lite loads is a bit much lately. I'll have to seriously consider one or two Vaquero's! It has been decades since I hand loaded .357/.38, but I loved it and it is easy to get really good accuracy in that caliber.

well understood .... my wife has the same issues so we had to find revolver that she could enjoy shooting .... she has a concealed carry permit and prefers using the same revolver for all of her shooting .... shown below is her 38 Smith J-Frame with a Crimson Trace laser sight .... we light load 38's for her practice ammo .... its good to see her enjoy shooting again

Glad to hear that is working well for her. I had a S&W 640 that I gave to my wife when she first got her concealed carry permit. Carried it with .38 loads. But, when she developed the arthritis issues, she couldn't open the cylinder. She can handle the Ruger style cylinder release, but not the S&W for some reason. Started carrying a Glock 26 that was much easier to manipulate, then to a 42 when they first came out. She loves it and is quite accurate with it. The 42 is fairly easy to conceal on her person rather than just in a purse.

I love to hear about women successfully carrying and shooting. The outdoor range we are members of, allows women to shoot for free at any time. I think that is great.
