Greetings from Dallas

Post by 22LR » Thu Jan 12, 2017 8:34 am

New member to both the forum and Henry rifles. Just picked up a Small Game Rilfle and working through a few issues. My communications with Anthony and Henry Customer Service have been outstanding to get my issue resolved.

Welcome from the Shenandoah Valley, VA. Our Small Game Carbine has been a great rifle for us - what issues are you dealing with?

Tractordad - I've got two issues with the rifle.

First the model number on the gun is engraved H001TLP (Carbine length) instead of H001TRP (Rifle length) I'm a details person and it would drive me crazy having a gun that had the wrong model number engraved on it.

Second issue is the rifle shoots 3.25" high. I read about the front sight height issues in the forums and saw that it was months back, I would assume that the factory would have dialed in the right front sight height by now. Don't get me wrong, great gun - best out of box trigger I've had and i was grouping about 1" at 25 yards off of a bench resting the forestock on my range bag.

A few messages to Anthony and I've sent the rifle back to the factory to get a new receiver engraved with the correct model number and install a taller front sight.

Welcome aboard, glad that you are getting great service from Henry.
With the number of firearms they have been producing a few will slip through with issues. From what I have heard of the few that do are few and far between.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.
