Yeah, I guess you have a point there But I really can't drink the Scotch or Whiskey every night as I have put on a few pounds since Thanksgiving and we still have New Years to go! and I have to watch when and how much I drink when taking Tylenol for the aches and pains. So, that being said, just Diet Coke tonight. ......and watch some college football.

Guess I might start drinking again, our government starts our new "carbon tax"Jan 1st....gas and diesel jump five cents/per ltr to start with, home heat goes up another $700/year, basically anything that uses energy other than solar or wind generated will be taxed more to force us to go "green". Hardly any jobs left in Alberta now so we'll look like a Mad Max movie here soon. Anyhow, right now I'm having tea and taking it easy. Sorry to get all right wing on everybody. I'm over it.

This being New Years Eve, I will have maybe.............two vodka and orange juice (screwdrivers) and since we have not gone out anywhere for years (old people) we will have shrimp, ring bologna and a cheese log and a variety of crackers to spread it on. The party starts about 8:30pm eastern time. The dog will be begging. Then after the football game we'll switch to FOX and watch all the crazy people up in Times Square, New York and watch some of the entertainment and the "ball drop" at mid-night. I understand that this has been going on to some extent since 1904. I have been to the city several times but never for New Years Eve, I never wanted to be part of the crowd.

BTW FF&F had a nice Marlin lever octagon barrel 24" I think, in 44/70, Mike was slobbering all over it $709.00. The Henry BBS 45/70 was
$699.00. I controlled myself and just got loading stuff

Bowl, with sausage , eggs , potatoes,& cheddar cheese.
And my Henry coffee cup full of coffee.

Just having evening tea and watching an episode of Rawhide. An episode of Twilight Zone before that and I started my Gene Autry show box set before that. It's kind like the twilight zone in my house some nights circa 1960.

I try to maintain a constant. I will likely have a good Canadian Whiskey tonight to celebrate having gone back to work full time for a year.

Years ago when i was a drinking man; JD was my favorite. I'd get a 40 oz for Christmas too, but I'd have to buy the other 51 bottles myself, 1 a week for the rest of the year...

I try to stay the same. Not too much, or function fails the next day. Since returning to full time work, I've been on a very regimented schedule. I unwind, as they used to say in the 50's and 60's. I also took prescription sleeping pills back in the day. A couple of drinks a night has replaced them with no ill effects. I may try to track my consumption, just to compare it to yours RR. I might surprise myself and you.

I'm raising my glass towards Southern Alberta at this moment. Early day tomorrow. One other post and I'm off.
