Good morning all. Its 42° and that's the high today. Going out to Breakfest this morning with all the old boys that live here in this area. Something we do every Wednesday. There's usually anywhere from 10-20 of us that go. We all live on the border of Tennessee, North Carolina. We have nuclear physicists, farmers, welders, construction, retired police, retired military, etc. Its a good time, and breakfast isn't bad either. Enjoy your coffee, and the rest of your days.

Says it's cold out but it sure doesn't feel as bad as the weather folks said it should be. Thankful for that.

Morning tea time. Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody!
It's a bit warmer today at 38°, but it's still too dark and murky to see what the weather is doing.
Enjoy your brews, and I hope you all have a great day!

Morning. Les (your up early), and good morning to everybody else. Its 25° here with really light snow. That big storm is going to hit is later today and tonight. Not a storm like y'all further up north, but supposed to be significant for us. I'm just hunkering down and will probably do some reloading today. Got a bunch of new stuff to try out. Working on my 2nd cup of mud trying to wake up.

It was almost freezing this morning 34.....That's not supposed to happen in California.
Major storm brewing for this weekend.

42 degrees with sleet

just south of Raleigh, NC at 1:30PM .... they are now calling for 6 - 10" of sleet/snow between now and when the storm should move out late tomorrow and to get down to -1 Sunday night .... as a point of reference, according to the collection of state weather extremes maintained by the State Climate Office of North Carolina, the lowest temperature on record for the state was measured near the top of Mount Mitchell in Yancey County on January 21, 1985 .... the temperature that day reached a minimum of -34 degrees Fahrenheit .... that same day brought the lowest reading on record for the Raleigh-Durham airport of -9 degrees.
that is a day firmly implanted in my memory .... a friend and I were camping in a popup in the Western NC mountains ...

right now weather radar shows the ice/snow is just west of us .... temp 33 degrees .... current bulletin "Wintry mix, heavy at times, for at least 120 min" .... the ice/rain line is running all the way from the southwest edge of Atlanta, to the west side of Charlotte, to the west side of Raleigh, and on up into Virginia .... our forecast has just been revised calling for 3 - 6" of ice/snow
