Washington got off to a really good start but couldn't maintain it .... as a team 'Bama looked strong .... not to impressed with the maturity of some of their players ....

Re: 2016 NCAA Football Championship
Clemson looks pretty good. I think they can give Alabama a tussle.
Really looking forward to the Rose Bowl – I'm a lifelong USC fan even though the school is at the other end of the state. Penn State is in trouble!

Re: 2016 NCAA Football Championship
the Tide and the Tigers again .... first time in his career that an Urban Meyer team has been shutout .... he's an excellent coach and the Buckeyes are a far better team then they appeared tonight .... if both of them bring their A-games, it should be one heck of a Championship Game

Re: 2016 NCAA Football Championship
the early odds from Vegas and most other sources are making the Tide a 7 point favorite over the Tigers .... as a long time ACC fan I'm pulling for the Clemson and do believe that they are capable of taking Alabama .... that said, I have no clue where I'd set the odds

Agree with that. Nick Saban just might be the greatest college coach to ever stalk a sideline, but I can't stand him.BigAl52 wrote:Im pulling for Clemson also. I cannot stand the coach at Alabama and his errogance. Al

Yeah, I'm glued to it. I've really, really enjoyed watching this USC team play since the start of October. Hoping they can finish up with another strong performance today.Coach wrote:Rose Bowl is starting now.....

I used to be a bigger USC fan but now I go for UCLA.
Why ? you ask....Well my Nephew is going to UCLA Law School and he has swayed me. I'm from the Bay Area up north so really I don't have deep feelings for either school.

Ha! Might be awhile before you see the Bruins win that crosstown matchup again.Coach wrote:I used to be a bigger USC fan but now I go for UCLA.

Re: 2016 NCAA Football Championship
yes you are probably right. I went to the game a couple years ago when UCLA beat USC in Pasadena with about 100,000 of my friends. This year when my Nephew invited me I Said NO WAY, ONE TIME WAS ENOUGH FOR ME.ditchparrot wrote:Ha! A crowd of drunk college kids that large was not fun for this old guy. I left at half time to beat the crowd and went back to my hotel and had a nice steak dinner in the restaurant while watching the 4th quarter.

That Darnold kid is one cool customer. Really looking forward to at least two more years of him!
If Smith-Schuster and Jackson both come back next year, USC is big trouble for anybody.

The Rose Bowl game was an instant classic. I'm more of a PSU fan but it wasn't meant to be this year. Next year, I think they do even better.
