Super Blackhawk shoulder holster

Post by Ernie » Wed Sep 09, 2026 9:22 pm

Have a 3 screw 44 Blackhawk with a 7-1/2" barrel and saw this holster at Kirkpatrick Leather on overstock. It was not cheap (nothing is at Kirkpatrick) but I have several of their holsters and they are all built great. Saddle leather and fully suede lined.I got it today and spent a couple of hours adjusting and carrying ... and adjusting... you get the drift. Think I have it just about right but will do some more with it tomorrow. Love the idea of being able to conceal carry ( mostly )😀 this large revolver.

May have to go to the range tomorrow and reacquaint myself to this 44.

I know it isn't practical. But I saw it and knew I wanted it so I could carry the revolver besides open carry which is frowned upon in Michigan. I actually thought about it for my 24 hour rule and bought it anyway. I look at them and the line " Now that's a knife" pops into my head. I will grow up eventually. Maybe. Probably not.
