Latin?

Post by BrokenolMarine » Fri Aug 28, 2026 10:48 pm

Got a Henry Ad in my email today. Standard layout, all the Henry logos and the like, except the narative in each "Ad" section was in Latin. :o Ah, no... don't read/speak Latin, I just recognize it from all the reading I do. I thought I had accidentally changed some setting somewhere.

I sent Henry an email and told them about the ad. They sent me a reply, Thanking Me for letting them know. Seems like it was an Oops, the ad had went out accidentally. Latin is a placeholder for text used in layout. It wasn't ready to go out yet. ;) They resent it with the REAL text in place.

I thought I had developed dyslexia.

They told me they were going to resend it, and sent me the completed ad. I saved a pic of the Latin version. I'll post it here when I get time to go to the desktop and download it. :D

One of the few things I remember from my HS latin class was "Semper ubi, sub ubi."

Translates as :

"Always where
Under where"

We thought it was hilarious.
