That's how CT operates, too. But, not just anyone can walk into a store and walk out with a gun. We also require hands-on training and a valid permit in order to purchase firearms or ammunition.

Good morning guys! I am the proudest boy in town. Put the Big Boy Steel into the cabinet last night. I cycled the action a few times (without dry fire), it's really smooth. I like it I think I should get some snap caps so I can do full practice.
I have a 5-rifle cabinet, but more than 3 will get crowded.

I just sold another Springfield 1911, a Mil Spec, unfired, NIB, too cheap! Sometimes you'll take a hit, make somebody happy.
Now, I realize I met the CA maximum for annual PPTs. Can you believe it?? Sacramento sucks!

A few years ago I bought a little house in Kingman, AZ. It's rented and pays into my income. It may serve as my retirement home at one point or another. Things are always at the ready. I love the Southwest.

As I was driving into town yesterday to purchase salt I passed the runway threshold of our local airport and a B25 or 26, (not sure which), was taxing into position for takeoff. I quickly drove to the other end of the runway and parked to watch. Those radial engines make quite an impression as they go by. Definitely a warbird sound. I got a short video of it and wish I could post it here.

Growing up in Spokane our airbase Fairchild was the home to a squadron of B-52’s. It was always so cool to see them take off as many times they would fly right over my house while at a lower elevation. Now Fairchild is the home to a squadron of KC 135 refuelers which aren’t nearly as impressive when taking off. Still love to have them here local however.

Back when the Iranians had taken the embassy hostages I was invited by the Air Force to fly a B52 mission out of Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, Nc. It is quite a long story but just to cover the interesting parts I'll shorten it.
I was working for the FAA in Air Traffic Control and we were providing the AF with low level training routes through the mountains of the Southeast.
Our mission that day was to practice for a bombing run at low level into Tehran. I had to sign a document that if the bomber was called up while in flight that I would accompany it on the mission wherever it went. I signed. (We didn't really have a bomb on board anyway, did we?) Well, I guess we did. There were techs under the bomb bay as the Captain and I did the walk around and they had duct taped to sight glass from the cockpit into the bomb bay on the out side so I couldn't see it.
Anyway, we flew the 17 hours mission popping up to 33,000 to refuel several times. The mission was at 400 ft above ground level and with a waiver, 350 knots.
Needless to say it was exciting. I wrote a paper on it for the FAA and the AF.
I sat in a jump seat between the pilots. Here's a shot I took of the refuel.
