59 this morning and the heavy smoke layer is really blocking the sun today. Not even seeing the orange ball I’ve been seeing this week. Yesterday’s Red Flag warning day was much calmer than expected. Today is expected to be worse (more gusty) than yesterday so we’re all on pins and needles. High around 90 with gusts to 25.

I’m still taking it easy from my surgery earlier this week so won’t be doing much again today. I’m getting a little restless but with the fire danger today staying home and being ready to evacuate is wise.

56' and hazy this morning. Hard to tell if it's residual smoke or the usual morning haze. Maybe 89' later.

53 with once again a heavy smoke layer. High in the lower 90’s but I don’t think it got out of the upper 70’s yesterday due to little sun penetration. Just saw the extended forecast and for Deer Park it’s supposed to be in the upper 40’s for the lows all week. Normally that would be wonderful to open up some windows and put a nice cool in the house. But with the smoke we’re keeping everything buttoned up. Getting stuffy in here.

The lawn is getting shaggy so today I’ll suck it up and give it a trim. Still recovering from my simple surgery so I won’t push it. (Literally  )
