Range Report: silence is golden

I’ve been shooting more now that I’m getting the range together. Having a suppressor on a pistol sure makes it nicer.

A .22 LR can is a gateway drug. While you don't get as much noise reduction on centerfire cans, you do get a measurable amount of recoil reduction. Shooting full power 45-70 rounds without a can was beastly. Doing it with a can was not annoying in the least. It makes a significant difference in heavy recoiling loads. Enjoy, have a blast or three.

I cant wait to get the G17 and M9 canned. I’ll have the barrels in a week. The Henry Homesteader is on order and it should be here about the same time. I also have a Gemtech can on order and will then have to do the paperwork on it.

For full effect make sure you have plenty of 147grain 9mm available.

I bought a thousand rounds of S&B 140 grain sub-sonic. It was made for suppressors.

I can’t wait to shoot the 9mm canned. A few weeks ago we were shooting a MAC-10 suppressed and it was a blast or should I say not a blast!
